Mechanical Design Engineer
Jono, Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, designs and develops the mechanical solutions IAL provides for its range of customers in a variety of industries.
Jono has been with the company since 2022. Prior to that, he has spent 10 years as a design engineer in multiple companies providing hi-tech machinery to the food production industries. Jono graduated from Auckland University with a BEHON in Mechatronic Engineering with First Class Honours.
Outside of work, Jono likes to compete as an elite runner around the country and sometimes overseas. In his spare time, he likes tinkering in his garage on home projects, and spending time with his family and two dogs. Jono enjoys the challenge of problem solving and developing solutions for a wide range of customers and applications. One of his main priorities is to produce effective and elegant solutions. A favourite mantras is: “Time is never wasted if you are learning something new” as he is always eager to expand his knowledge.
